1 Free-standing bath
Nothing elevates a bathroom like a free-standing tub. At the top of the list, these give every space a five-star feel.
'A free-standing bath makes a luxurious statement in any bathroom. From traditional roll tops with claw feet to more modern oval styles, there is a style for every taste,' says Sarah Davies, founder of FLOELLA Interiors.
2 Marble
Marble stone is classic, timeless and effortlessly chic. Planning a bathroom refurb? Consider marble for an Insta-worthy look...
'Marble tiles on floors or walls adds an extra layer of opulence to a bathroom,' adds Sarah. It's an Instagram favourite, with over 99,000 images linked to #marblebathroom.
3 White interiors
Nothing looks as clean and fresh as a dazzling white bathroom. From tiles to the bathtub, there are plenty of ways you can achieve this look.
Sarah adds: 'Simple, clean and fresh, a white tile brings a cool aesthetic to a bathroom. Add white tiles to walls and let pattern floors do the talking.'
6 Wall light
Hit refresh on your functional bathroom lighting with stylish wall lights and sconces. Sarah adds: 'Add a touch of retro with fluted glass wall lights or pair your globe light with gold fixtures to complement other gold accents.'
7 Vessel sinks
A vessel sink, also known as countertop sink which sits on top of a vanity, is an incredibly popular choice for many. Whether you opt for rectangular, oval, ceramic or copper, the options are endless.
8 Undermount sink
'Create a sleek and clean finish in your bathroom with an undermount sink. This sink style saw a 23 per cent increase in searches since November, as interior trend hunters looked to implement the trend,' explains Sarah.
9 Hanging plants
As well as elevating your space, bathroom plants are great for helping to filter toxins out of the air. With hanging plants being tagged over 270k times on Instagram, it's no surprise that they made the list of trends to watch.
'Hanging plants can really add life and interest to an otherwise quite simple space,' says Sarah. 'However if you struggle to keep plants alive don't feel the pressure to have real plants – just fake it. It's far better to use faux plants than having a selection of dried up, half-dead plants in your bathroom.'
10 Circle mirror
On-trend round mirrors are brilliant for creating the illusion of a bigger space.
'Circle mirrors seem to be very popular; they give a nice softness to a room with lots of hard straight lines,' adds Sarah.
